Wow already two weeks?
I had my Double Mastectomy two weeks ago on Jan 6th and all went well. Thank you for your prayers and support!!! I am feeling good right now...More than I could say the first week I had surgury...(VERY DIFFICULT) But I am better now :) Over that part and on to the next.
My biggest fear was coming home and turning down my little girl for hugs and not being able to hold her...And I survived that also.. She dealt with it ok - she knows now that mommy has a boo boo and she is learning to deal with me not being able to carry her. She is only two years old so you can imagine the tears at first!!
I had two drains on each breast and today I FINALLY had the LAST two removed and am DRAIN FREE...What a relief!!!!! You can't imagine!! I think that was the most uncomfortable part. Anyhow, I am more comfortable than I imagined.. I am happy with my decision and just take things one step at a time. I am journaling every moment ~ even took pictures of my old Tata's~and now the reconstruction process..It definately is a process, a journey!
On a different note I watched the Inaguration of our NEW president and it was VERY moving!! I will admit that I was not expecting such a monumental day ~ so it really blew me away to watch it all happen on TV..The there was the Neighborhood Ball..Wasn't that Amazing??? I don't think that I have ever seen a president act so down to earth?I definately got emotional!! Like I need any more emotions..
But anyhow, I am going to be scrappin again. I am very limited but its been two weeks , a cranky two year old, a mother-in-law and four drains later...I NEED AN ESCAPE!!!! SO I will be back shortly with SUMTHANGGGGGGGG....BELIEVE DAT~~~~
